Entrepreneurship

pkBoo
I founded pkBoo in 2015 to help new parents overcome social isolation and depression. The idea behind pkBoo was to create a local support network of parents that were not only based on a shared parenthood, but connect people through similar interests, languages and other things they identified with.
The app was designed to match parents digitally, while our local ‘speed-friending events’ were an opportunity to meet in a child-friendly environment.
PkBoo was co-designed with parents, a process that I was intricately involved with. I researched customers’ needs, created personas based on our findings and helped design all aspects of the user experience. I was managing communications, creating marketing materials, social media content and drafted grant applications.
PkBoo was supported by Google Campus for Mums and received pre-seed funding from Bethnal Green Ventures as part of their Winter 2016 accelerator programme.

MITx London
I was part of the 2015 MITx Entrepreneurship cohort in Boston. After returning to London I designed, organised and hosted a series of four events based on MIT’s Disciplined Entrepreneurship principles with a group of London-based Bootcamp alumni. The events were held in collaboration with The Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship.
Introducing MITx Entrepreneurship in London
Who is your customer?
What can you do for your customer?
How do you monetise your idea?
For the final workshop, we created a card game to help entrepreneurs explore different business models, named ‘Modelo’. I developed the concept and content of the game and delivered the final workshop.
Small Business Coaching
Based on my experiences at Mums in Tech, Google Campus for Mums, Bethnal Green Ventures and MITx Entrepreneurship, I designed a series of workshops to help entrepreneurs define their core and gain clarity on their unique selling point and proposed income streams.
