My love for visual storytelling began early. At four years old, I was already helping my father develop photographs in our makeshift darkroom. It was the most exciting thing in the world dipping the paper into a tray and watching shapes and shadows fill the blank space.

While that sense of wonder has been edged out by digital cameras and high-res camera phones, I still love everything about photography, and its power to capture a moment to tell a whole story.
